Genre Of Our Video.

Today, we decided what genre we would base our video around. We decided that it would be Horror.
We all liked videos that we watched by other students who also did Horror. We felt that it will be fun but also a challenge for us and could easily get us the high grade we want.
Sam came up with a good opening idea of a man waking up in a room and another man running. The clip will finish by the man running finding the man in the room dead/murdered. This includes many typical horror aspects such as murder, death and not knowing whats happening/the audiences ideas being questioned.
We then expanded our idea with the idea of children and that their laughing and musical box noises could be played on to be very freaky and an initial film name of 'The Toy Box'. I then went on and looked at the opening of the film The Exorcist(1973) which is a horror film. I thought that the opening was rather boring and didnt really excite me even though i know the film is a weird and creepy film. The font used for the title was red which is a typical colour to be used as red could represent blood/the devil/evil. The music is loud and screechy which also suits the genre. We then cut to an establishing shot of a house then going into the film. By having it so normal could tell the audience its going to be realistic or based on real experiences.
